The Abaco Systems / SBS / Greenspring IP-UNIDIG-I is an IndustryPack module designed for digital input and output applications. This module provides 24 differential I/O lines, with each line capable of being individually configured as either an input or an output. The module supports double buffering for both inputs and outputs, which is beneficial for simulation systems requiring simultaneous latching of multiple I/O signals. The I/O lines meet EIA-422 and EIA-485 specifications and feature an extended common mode range of +12 V to -7 V. Each output driver is controlled by a 24-bit register, and writing a “0” activates the driver, while writing a “1” places it in a high-impedance state, allowing for input use.
