The Abaco Systems / VMIC VMIPMC-5588DMA-610 is an enhanced high-speed, direct memory access (DMA) capable, fiber-optic reflective memory board operating at 1.2 Gbaud. This module is designed for applications requiring high-speed data sharing and synchronization between multiple systems. Reflective memory technology allows data written to memory in one node to be automatically written to the memory of all other nodes on the network, creating a distributed shared memory system. This process is software transparent, eliminating the need for explicit I/O operations and reducing CPU overhead. The VMIPMC-5588DMA-610 supports interrupt generation between network nodes, enabling event-driven communication and system coordination.
