The Abaco Systems (formerly VMIC) VMIVME-1111-000 is a 64-bit high-voltage digital input board designed for robust industrial and embedded applications. This VMEbus-compatible module offers extensive input flexibility, allowing it to interface with a wide array of signal sources, including mechanical switch contacts, relay contacts, standard logic circuits, and custom electronic switching circuits. Its design emphasizes high-voltage input capabilities and built-in test features for enhanced system diagnostics and reliability.

* **Data Transfer Bits:** Configurable for 8, 16, or 32-bit data transfers.
* **Form Factor:** Double Eurocard (VMEbus).
* **Input Voltage Range:** User-selectable input voltage thresholds from 1.25 VDC to 66 VDC.
* **Differential Signal Input Characteristics:**
* Common-Mode Input Voltage Range: -30 V to +66 V.
* Input Sensitivity: ±100 mV over a common-mode range of -7 V to +12 V.
* High input impedance (33 kΩ).
* RS-422/RS-485-compatible differential line receivers provide ±7V noise immunity.
* **Single-Ended Signal Input Characteristics:**

* Threshold accuracy of 1% over the entire 66 V range (typical).
* **Input Signal Conditioning:**
* Each group of 32 inputs is jumper-selectable to monitor: contact closure, voltage source, current sinking, or differential signals.
* Open circuit provides a logic zero or, jumper-selectable, a logic one.
* **Input Filtering:** Optional input signal filter circuit available. This can be configured as a series RC terminator or an input filter with a time constant of 0.14 ms.
* **Built-in-Test (BIT):** On-board BIT logic for fault detection and isolation. A front panel Fail LED is illuminated at power-up and can be extinguished under program control upon successful completion of diagnostics.
* **VMEbus Compatibility:** Complies with VMEbus specification (ANSI/IEEE STD 1014-1987, IEC 821 and 297).
* **Addressing:**
* Addressable to any address within supervisory and/or nonprivileged short I/O map.
* Control and Status Register (CSR) address is independently selectable.
* Eight ports individually addressable on 8-, 16-, or 32-bit boundaries.
* One CSR addressable on an 8-bit boundary.
* Thirteen jumpers provide unlimited short data I/O address map selection.
* **Connectors:** High reliability DIN-type I/O connectors (Dual 64-pin connectors – DIN 41612).
* **Power Requirements:** +5 V at 1.4 A typical, 2.0 A maximum.
* **Environmental:**
* Operating Temperature Range: 0 to 55 °C.
* Storage Temperature Range: -20 to 85 °C.
* Relative Humidity: 20 to 80 percent, noncondensing.
* Cooling: Forced-air convection.
* **Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF):** 186,600 hours (per MIL-HDBK-217F).
