The Abaco Systems / VMIC VMIVME-5531S-000 is a slave VMEbus fiber-optic repeater link that extends VME communication across isolated chassis via fiber-optic cable. This two-board set enables VME slave I/O boards in a secondary chassis to be controlled by a VME master in a primary chassis, delivering software-transparent operation with total electrical isolation between systems. The link supports unidirectional link control with bidirectional data transfers and operates plug-and-play with no software overhead.
