The Abaco Systems/VMIC VMIVME-5588DMA-010 is a high-speed Direct Memory Access fiber-optic reflective memory board for VMEbus systems. It enables transparent data sharing across up to 256 independent network nodes operating at 1.2 Gbaud serial data rate, delivering 29.5 Mbyte/s non-redundant or 14.8 Mbyte/s with redundant error suppression. The reflective memory architecture eliminates processor overhead during all network operations. Integrated interrupt capabilities allow any node to signal any other node or broadcast to all nodes with a single command.
