The Keysight N1094A DCA-M is a high-performance, compact sampling oscilloscope designed for accurate electrical waveform analysis in high-speed digital and optical applications. It leverages the acquisition system architecture of the 86100 oscilloscope mainframe and the electrical channel hardware found in N104X plug-in modules, offering a fully integrated solution. This instrument is well-suited for both research and development (R&D) and manufacturing environments.

**Electrical Channels:**
* **Channel Count:** 2 Electrical Channels
* **Bandwidth:** Available with 30 GHz and 50 GHz bandwidths. Optional bandwidths include 20/30 GHz or 20/33/40/50 GHz.
* **Input Connectors:** 2.4 mm (m) bulkhead
* **Noise Floor:** High sensitivity with noise floors of 310 µV (at 20 GHz) and 600 µV (at 50 GHz).
* **Jitter:** Accurate high data rate analysis with less than 170 fs intrinsic jitter.
* **Sample Rate:** Fast sampling rates for high throughput, up to 250 kHz.

**Performance and Analysis Capabilities:**
* **Data Rate Support:** Solutions for up to 56 Gb/s. Ideal for transmitter test setups for wireline communication standards with data rates from 125 MBd to 64 GBd NRZ and PAM4.
* **Waveform Analysis:** Designed for electrical waveform analysis, providing accurate measurements and characterization of signals.
* **Measurement Tasks:** Can perform eye-mask tests, measure eye diagram parameters including extinction ratio, and basic oscilloscope mode measurements of pulses (limited to patterns less than 2 ns in duration). Also supports optical transmitter compliance tests at data rates from 1.25 to 11.3 Gb/s.
* **Jitter Spectrum Analysis (JSA):** Can be enabled with specific FlexDCA Software Packages.
* **TDR/TDT Capabilities:** Supports TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometry) for high-resolution impedance characterization of electrical data transmission lines.

**Control and Software:**
* **Control Methods:** Can be controlled via a direct PC connection (USB 2.0 or 3.0), or by connecting to an 86100D or N1000A mainframe via USB. For automated systems, a PC connected via LAN to the N109X is recommended, with the FlexDCA interface on the second PC connected via USB.
* **User Interface:** Identical to the modern FlexDCA interface found on the N1000A and 86100D.
* **Required Software:** N1010A FlexDCA software is required on the controlling PC. This software is available as a free download.
* **Communication API:** SCPI over LAN (VXI-11 or HiSlip) is used for communication between system controllers and the PC. USB programming is handled by the FlexDCA interface.
