The Keysight BT2205A is a 2-channel charge-discharge module engineered for Li-ion cell formation and lifetime cycling within the BT2200 platform. Each physical channel delivers up to 6 V and ±100 A, with 437.5 W maximum power per channel. Channels can be paralleled to create higher-current user channels—two physical channels yield ±200 A, while up to eight channels across multiple modules achieve ±800 A at 875.0 W. The module supports up to 256 cells per chassis when configured with multiple BT2205A units. Regenerative power circuitry improves efficiency during discharge cycles. Control and monitoring occur via USB and LAN interfaces, with GPIO available for fault detection and shutdown logic. Each module weighs 1.8 kg and fits within the standard BT2200 eight-module chassis capacity. All modules in a single chassis must be identical type—either all BT2204B or all BT2205A. Compatible with BT2202A (400/480 VAC 3-phase) and BT2203 chassis variants.
