The Elgar 9010 is a programmable AC power source module designed to integrate with compatible Elgar AC power source mainframes. It functions as a plug-in oscillator, providing precise control over output voltage, frequency, and phase angle for simulating various AC power conditions. This unit is engineered for applications requiring flexible and accurate AC power simulation, such as research and development, manufacturing test, and quality control environments.

### Technical Specifications

**Output Characteristics:**

* **Frequency Range:** 45 Hz to 5 kHz.
* **Frequency Resolution:** Programmable in 1 Hz steps.
* **Voltage Output:** Capable of providing output voltages in various ranges, including 0-32V, 0-130V, and 0-260V, depending on the mainframe configuration.
* **Phase Angle Control:** Programmable phase angle control is available, enabling multi-phase configurations and specific phase relationships (e.g., 120°, 240° for three-phase; 90° for two-phase; 60° for open delta).

**Performance:**

* **Line Regulation:** ±0.25% at full load for a ±10% change in input line voltage.
* **Load Regulation:** ±1% from no load to full load over the full frequency range and ±10% input range. Adjustable to better than 0.1% for specific load conditions. For fixed frequency systems, load regulation is less than 0.25%.
* **Response Time:** Less than 50 µsec. For some Elgar SL and B Series power sources, response time is <2 microseconds. * **Gain Stability:** ±0.25% for 24 hours at constant line, load, and temperature. * **Output Harmonic Distortion:** Typically below 0.3% midband and 0.6% over the full frequency range. For some configurations, THD is 0.6% worst case. * **AC Noise Level:** 70 dB below full output.**Electrical:*** **Power Source Compatibility:** Designed to be used with specific Elgar AC Power Sources and Mainframes. * **Input Voltage:** Requires input from an associated Elgar AC Power Source.**Interfaces:*** **Programmability:** Can be externally programmed via a computer or other digital commands, often through an Elgar Decoder Programmer or IEEE-488 GPIB interface when used with compatible mainframes.**Physical:*** **Form Factor:** Plug-in module designed to fit into a standard oscillator cavity of Elgar AC Power Sources. * **Operating Temperature Range:** -20°C to +50°C.
