The Emerson/Heurikon Baja4700 is a 64-bit VME single board computer engineered for compute and I/O intensive applications in industrial communications, imaging, embedded control, and video delivery systems. Built around the IDT R4700 MIPS processor, it delivers configurable performance with processor speeds of 166 MHz, 175 MHz, or 200 MHz (Baja4700E), allowing selection between I/O optimization and CPU-intensive floating-point workloads. The board supports up to 64 Mbytes of DRAM and interfaces via a 64-bit VME64 connector with 5-row back panel I/O on the Baja4700E variant.
