The EXFO FTB-5800 Chromatic Dispersion Analyzer is a high-performance module for precise characterization of chromatic dispersion in optical fibers across 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s, and 100 Gbit/s applications. Using the phase-shift measurement method, it analyzes phase variations at fixed frequencies to calculate CD with exceptional repeatability. The analyzer’s “no communication” architecture between source and receiver enables testing of complete fiber links, including through cascaded amplifiers and one-way devices like EDFAs, without compromising measurement accuracy.
