The Wavetek 1038 is a modular scalar network analyzer engineered for swept frequency measurements across insertion loss/gain, return loss, and absolute power applications. Built around the 1038-D14A mainframe with digital storage display, this system delivers simultaneous dual-channel measurements with 512-point horizontal and 1024-point vertical resolution. The architecture supports field configuration via interchangeable plug-in modules for horizontal sweep functions and vertical signal conditioning, enabling adaptation to diverse measurement requirements. Frequency coverage spans 100 kHz to 40 GHz with standard coaxial detectors, extensible beyond 110 GHz with waveguide detectors or above 200 GHz using mm-band detector modules.
