The Keysight J7211A Attenuation Control Unit delivers precise, programmable signal attenuation from DC to 6 GHz with 0.03 dB repeatability per section. Purpose-built for R&D, manufacturing, and ATE environments, it conditions RF and microwave signals for wireless component testing, WiMAX and WLAN device validation, and mobile handset BTS handover verification. The unit spans 0 to 121 dB attenuation in 1 dB, 5 dB, and 10 dB steps, handles up to 1 W (+30 dBm) input power, and switches in 20 ms. Its attenuation sweep function supports user-defined timing (50 ms to 10 s) and cycling (1 to 1000 cycles), while calibration data correction ensures measurement accuracy. Insertion loss at 0 dB is 2.5 dB with 14 dB return loss (1.50 VSWR). Operating life reaches 5 million cycles.
