The Abaco Systems ATC40 is a full-size IndustryPack carrier board designed for ISA bus integration in legacy PC/AT platforms. It accommodates four IndustryPack modules within a single ISA slot, delivering up to 200 custom I/O lines and enabling consolidated I/O expansion for 386, 486, and Pentium-based systems. The board provides slave and interrupt access from the host processor to all installed IndustryPack modules, supporting both byte and 16-bit word accesses.
– Technical Specifications
• Form Factor: Full-size ISA bus IndustryPack carrier board
• IndustryPack Slots: Four module slots per board
• I/O Lines: Up to 200 custom I/O lines
• Memory Addressing: 16 KB within ISA address space; operates below 1 MB for DOS compatibility or anywhere within 16 MB of ISA memory space for advanced operating systems
• Access Support: Byte and 16-bit word accesses
• Interrupt Mapping: IndustryPack interrupts map to one of ten ISA interrupts via jumper configuration
– Key Features
• Four independent IndustryPack module slots with full I/O space, ID space, memory, and interrupt vector support
• Direct ISA bus interface for host system communication
• Flexible memory addressing architecture supporting DOS and modern operating systems
• Configurable interrupt routing accommodates diverse module requirements
– Typical Applications
IndustryPack modules available for the ATC40 support digital I/O, analog I/O, data communications, motion control, field bus interfaces, temperature measurement, and graphics control applications.
– Compatibility & Integration
The ATC40 is fully compatible with over 100 available IndustryPack modules and shares compatibility with the ATC30 carrier board. Operating systems include Windows®, OS/2®, SCO Unix®, and OS-9000™; DOS environments require a compatible extender such as Phar Lap.
