The Abaco Systems VMIVME-2128-001 is a 128-bit high-voltage digital output board for VMEbus systems. It delivers high-current sink outputs across 128 channels, supporting voltages from 5 to 48 VDC (55 V absolute maximum). Each channel provides 600 mA continuous sink capability with automatic surge current shutdown protection up to 990 mA, thermal shutdown, and inductive flyback protection via output clamp diodes. Integrated Built-in-Test (BIT) logic enables software-controlled verification of each output channel for rapid fault isolation and system diagnostics, with front panel Fail LED indication. The board addresses four 32-bit longwords, eight 16-bit words, or sixteen 8-bit bytes, supporting 8, 16, and 32-bit data transfers. Positive true logic operation energizes output drivers with logic one inputs. Optional pull-up resistor configurations accommodate different voltage levels: 270 Ω/5V/6V, 1.5 kΩ/12V/14V, 6.8 kΩ/24V/30V, and 27 kΩ/48V/55V. SIP sockets accept user-supplied warming resistors for applications exceeding 990 mA inrush current. Two 96-pin female connectors (P3 and P4) provide front panel I/O connections with user ground options on P2.
