The Abaco Systems / VMIC VMIVME-2131-900 is a 64-bit high-current source/sink driver board for VMEbus specification-compatible systems. This double-height Eurocard module delivers 64 independently addressable output channels across eight ports, with jumper-selectable operation in either current source-only mode (High-Z or source) or bidirectional source/sink mode. Supports 8-, 16-, and 32-bit data transfers with output voltage range of 8 to 35 VDC, continuous current capability of 500 mA, and peak transient performance of ±3.5 A at 100 ms duration with 10% duty cycle. The module features dual 64-pin DIN 41612 output connectors, Built-in-Test logic for real-time and offline fault detection, thermal shutdown protection, output transient protection, and a front panel Fail LED for diagnostics. Polarity is jumper-selectable for Positive True or Negative True operation. I/O addressing is fully configurable within the short supervisory or short nonprivileged VMEbus I/O map, with factory default base addresses at 0000 HEX for data registers and F000 HEX for the Control and Status Register.
