The XVME-103 is a single-high VMEbus memory module that provides flexible, independently configurable storage for industrial embedded systems. It accommodates eight 32-pin JEDEC sockets organized into two memory banks, each with four sites, supporting RAM, ROM, EPROM (to 8 MB), Flash (to 4 MB), and EEPROM (to 4 MB) devices. On-board battery backup protects CMOS RAM and Real-Time Clock data during power loss, while integrated power monitoring prevents memory access when supply voltage drops below 4.75 VDC. The module optionally asserts SYSREST or SYSFAIL signals based on backup voltage status. Devices within each bank must match in type and speed; Read-Modify-Write cycles are supported. Front panel LEDs indicate bank activity and battery status. Configuration is user-selectable via jumpers and switches. The XVME-103 draws power and ground from the VMEbus P1 connector and control signals from P2.
