Aeroflex 8321

The Aeroflex 8321 is a multichannel programmable attenuator unit housed in a 19-inch rackmount enclosure for RF and microwave bench testing, calibration setups, and subsystem integration. Configurable up to 16 attenuation channels, the 8321 delivers precise attenuation control from DC to 26.5 GHz or 40 GHz depending on configuration, with ranges up to 127 dB and step sizes as low as 0.1 dB. Control interfaces include Ethernet (10/100 BaseT), USB 2.0, RS-232 serial, and optional GPIB (IEEE-488), along with front-panel local control. The unit accepts 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input with maximum power consumption of 100 W and operates across 0°C to +50°C. Connectors are configurable as front, rear, or through (front-to-rear) options with standard 9-pin D, mini-B USB, and RJ45 interfaces. Compatible with Aeroflex/Weinschel attenuator models including the 3200-XE, 3400, 150T, and 4200 series, the 8321 integrates into larger test systems with RF switches, power combiners, directional couplers, and filters.
