The Keysight 11793A is a microwave converter that downconverts signals above 1.3 GHz to intermediate frequencies compatible with the 8902A measuring receiver. Signals below 1.3 GHz bypass the converter and route directly to the receiver input. For frequencies above 1.3 GHz, an internal mixer combines the input signal with an external local oscillator, producing a filtered and amplified IF output in the 10 to 700 MHz range.
