The Agilent/Keysight 436A is a single-channel analog power meter built for RF and microwave power measurements from 100 kHz to 110 GHz. This portable, rugged instrument delivers accurate average power readings across a -70 dBm to +44 dBm dynamic range with ±0.5% accuracy. The meter displays results in Watts, dBm, or dB relative units without manual conversion, supporting both absolute and relative measurement modes. An internal 50 MHz oscillator with Type-N output serves as the power reference. The peaking meter facilitates analog adjustments during setup and alignment tasks. Calibration factor entry compensates for individual sensor characteristics, improving overall measurement confidence. Full compatibility with the 8480 series power sensors enables flexible system configurations across laboratory and field applications. Optional GPIB programming (Option 022) provides remote control of all meter functions for automated test sequences and data logging workflows.
