The Agilent/Keysight 6038A is a 240 W autoranging DC power supply engineered for demanding test systems requiring single-channel, programmable output control. This compact unit delivers 0–60 Vdc at 0–10 A with autoranging capability, maximizing available power across the operating envelope—for example, 60 V at 3.3 A or 40 V at 6 A. Control is available via front-panel potentiometers or GPIB interface with SCPI command support, enabling integration into automated test setups.

Voltage ripple and noise measure 3 mVrms / 30 mV peak-to-peak, with current ripple at 5 mA rms. Load regulation is held to 3 mV (voltage) and 5 mA (current). Line regulation delivers 0.01% + 5 mV on voltage; programming accuracy is 0.035% + 145 mV. Voltage readback accuracy reaches 0.07% + 50 mV. Programming resolution is 50 mV (voltage) and 4.25 mA (current). The supply accepts modulation input signals from 0–5 V or 0–4 kΩ.

Remote sensing supports up to 2 V drop per lead; regulation specifications are maintained with up to 0.5 V drop. AC input ranges from 104–127 Vac or 191–233 Vac / 240 Vac ±6%, −13%, at 48–63 Hz, drawing 24 A maximum. The unit measures 212 mm (W) × 177 mm (H) × 444 mm (D) and weighs 16.3 kg. Operating range spans 0–55°C at up to 95% relative humidity, with installation category II and pollution degree 2 rating.

The 6038A supports series and auto-parallel connections for multi-unit configurations, reducing overall rack footprint. Digital readout and integrated protection safeguard devices under test. VXIplug&play drivers facilitate system integration.
