The Agilent/Keysight 85047A S-Parameter Test Set enables accurate characterization of RF and microwave devices from 300 kHz to 6 GHz. It measures transmission and reflection characteristics—including all S-parameters—of one-port or two-port devices in either direction with a single connection. The test set integrates with Agilent/HP 8753B/C, 8753D/E/ES network analyzers and selected 8702 Lightwave Component Analyzer configurations, supporting full two-port error correction and calibration workflows.
Solid-state test port switches deliver faster measurement speeds, superior repeatability (±0.03 dB), and extended operational life compared to mechanical alternatives. The design enables simultaneous monitoring of any two S-parameters on the display—such as forward gain and output match—while maintaining continuous S-parameter updates during full two-port error correction. Two-port sweeps with 101 points or more benefit from a 160 millisecond speed improvement per trace update.
