The Agilent/Keysight 86101A is a high-performance sampling oscilloscope module that simultaneously acquires electrical and optical signals across dual measurement channels. Purpose-built for telecommunications, data center, and advanced electronics testing, it delivers calibrated optical measurements from 750 nm to 860 nm alongside precision electrical analysis. The module integrates an optical channel with >2.85 GHz bandwidth, a calibrated receiver, and an average power meter, paired with a selectable electrical channel offering either 12.4 GHz or 20 GHz bandwidth. Switchable reference filters enable direct compliance verification at OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, Fibre Channel 1063 Mb/s, Gigabit Ethernet 1250 Mb/s, and legacy 155/622 Mb/s data rates. The 86101A supports both single-mode and multimode fiber (including 62.5/125 µm), operates with Agilent 81000xI Series connectors, and delivers time interval accuracy to ±8 ps + 0.1% of reading with minimum 2 ps/div timebase resolution (500 fs/div with 86107A module). Waveforms, setups, and images store on a 10 GB internal hard drive or 3.5-inch floppy disk.
