The Agilent/Keysight 86111A is a dual-channel amplified optical module that recovers clock signals from data streams and characterizes signal integrity in high-speed optical communication systems. It plugs directly into compatible Agilent DCA mainframes, delivering precise measurements across two independent 3 GHz optical channels. The module operates across the 750–860 nm wavelength range and accepts standard 62.5/125 µm multimode fiber. With characteristic RMS noise of 1.5 µW (3 GHz bandwidth) and a maximum average input power rating of 0.4 mW, the 86111A supports reference receiver operation at 155/622 Mb/s and 1.063/1.250 Gb/s data rates. Factory-installed filtered data rates include 155 Mb/s and 622 Mb/s; optional switchable filter pairs enable additional measurement configurations without hardware changes.
