The Keysight 86120C is a Michelson interferometer-based multi-wavelength meter that simultaneously measures wavelength and optical power across multiple laser lines. Operating from 1270 nm to 1650 nm (182 to 236 THz), it handles up to 200 laser lines with ±2 ppm absolute wavelength accuracy (±0.003 nm at 1550 nm and 1310 nm) for lines separated by ≥15 GHz. Measurement cycle time is less than 1 second. The instrument features a built-in HeNe laser wavelength standard, graphical optical power spectrum display, and state save/recall capability. Maximum safe input power is +10 dBm. Equipped with SCPI programming support and front-panel optical connectivity, the 86120C serves applications in DWDM signal testing, Fabry-Perot laser characterization, and optical component verification across development, manufacturing, and field installation environments.
