The Agilent/Keysight E8257DV12 is a millimeter-wave frequency extension module that expands the operating range of compatible PSG, MXG, and EXG series signal generators into the 60 to 90 GHz band. This WR12 waveguide module delivers +15 dBm output power while preserving the frequency accuracy and resolution of the connected base unit. It supports dual RF input modes—standard 20 GHz input and high-frequency input for 40 or 50 GHz generators—with the latter bypassing the first multiplication stage for improved spectral purity. The module enables pulse, FM, and phase modulation through TTL-controlled on/off switching to approximately 1 kHz and voltage-controlled RF attenuation. A 9 V DC power supply is included.
