The Agilent/Keysight N9029AV03 is a millimeter-wave signal analyzer frequency extension module that extends X-Series signal analyzer measurement capabilities into the 220–330 GHz band. Manufactured by Virginia Diodes, Inc. as part of their WRxx SAX Series mixer/amplifier/multiplier chains, it interfaces directly with compatible X-Series analyzers equipped with Option EXM to enable high-sensitivity measurements previously inaccessible in the millimeter-wave spectrum.
– Technical Specifications
• Frequency Range: 220 to 330 GHz
• Input Port Flange: WR3.4 waveguide
• Conversion Loss: Typically 14 dB
• Power Supply: 9V DC (included)
• Maximum Bandwidth: 20 GHz (block down-conversion mode)
– Key Features
• Single coaxial interface to signal analyzer via integrated diplexer for simultaneous LO and IF signal transmission
• Dual operational modes: standard mode for narrowband/CW analysis with image suppression, and block down-conversion mode for wideband signals up to 20 GHz
• 322.5 MHz IF output in standard mode
• Reconfigurable as block down-converter with independent external LO signal capability
– Typical Applications
• High-sensitivity spectrum analysis in millimeter-wave bands
• Narrowband signal characterization with integrated LO multiplication
• Wideband communication signal analysis via block down-conversion
• Drift-tolerant RF signal measurement
– Compatibility & Integration
Direct compatibility with:
• Agilent/Keysight N9030A PXA X-Series Signal Analyzer
• Agilent/Keysight N9020A MXA X-Series Signal Analyzer
• Agilent/Keysight N9010A EXA X-Series Signal Analyzer
Option EXM on the signal analyzer is required for direct LO driving. External signal generators may supply fixed LO signals for block down-conversion operation. Though listed as discontinued, the N9029AV03 remains supported.
