The Keysight P5021B is a compact, PC-based vector network analyzer from the Streamline Series, designed for high-performance RF and microwave component characterization without compromising measurement capability. Operating across 9 kHz to 6.5 GHz, this faceless instrument connects via Thunderbolt 3 to a host PC, eliminating the need for traditional benchtop footprints while maintaining the proven measurement science of Keysight’s flagship VNA platforms. Available in 4-port or 6-port configurations—with cascading capability for extended port counts—the P5021B delivers 148 dB dynamic range at 1 MHz IF bandwidth and 50 Ω input impedance.
The analyzer supports linear, log, segment, CW, power, and DC source sweep types, enabling S-parameter measurements across passive components, amplifiers, and frequency converters. Its software ecosystem includes time domain reflectometry, automatic fixture removal, noise figure measurement with vector correction, pulsed-RF analysis, embedded local oscillator capability, gain compression, spectrum analysis, multiport calibrated measurements, and intermodulation distortion characterization. Optional configurations unlock a second source (4-port models), frequency offset mode, and internal pulse generators and modulators.
