Built on a quartz shear sensing element, this compact unit delivers 10 mV/g sensitivity with ±500 g peak measurement range and exceptional frequency coverage from 0.35 Hz to 30,000 Hz (±3 dB). Its 0.005 g rms broadband resolution, sub-1% non-linearity, and ≤5% transverse sensitivity enable accurate modal analysis, fatigue testing, and structural characterization. The device operates across -54 to +121 °C with constant current excitation (2 to 20 mA) and 18 to 30 VDC supply, outputting through a 10-32 connector with 8 to 12 VDC bias. Weighing only 1.8 gm with a ≥70 kHz resonant frequency, the 353B18 handles ±10,000 g shock overloads and exhibits minimal base strain sensitivity of ≤0.003 g/µε. Optional variants include adhesive mounting, low-bias electronics (4.5 to 7.5 VDC output), and ground-isolated configuration supporting ±300 g range at reduced weight (3.0 gm).
