The Anritsu MS2037C is a two-port Vector Network Analyzer integrating spectrum analysis capabilities, designed for field-based RF and microwave diagnostics from 5 kHz to 15 GHz. This handheld instrument measures all four S-parameters (S11, S21, S22, S12) using a 3-receiver architecture, eliminating the need for multiple connections during VNA testing. The 12-term error correction algorithm— in handheld VNA design—supports reciprocal through calibration and delivers dynamic range to 100 dB across 4,001 points per sweep at 350 µs per point. Dual-mode operation combines VNA functionality with spectrum analysis extending to 15 GHz, offering occupied bandwidth, channel power, ACPR, C/I ratio, emission mask, and PIM hunting measurements. Powered by internal battery for up to 3 hours autonomous operation, the instrument connects via dual USB and Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) interfaces. Distance-to-fault and time-domain measurements are native capabilities. An optional GPS module (Option 31) locks frequency accuracy to <25 ppb and maintains 50 ppb stability for 72 hours post-lock. The internal Bias-Tee option (Option 10) enables active component testing. A compact 315 × 211 × 97 mm frame and 4.8 kg weight support installation and field troubleshooting workflows without sacrificing measurement precision.
