The Anritsu MU150121A is a 10/10.7G optical transmission module purpose-built for integration with Anritsu MP1590A and MP1590B network analyzers. This TX unit delivers precise optical signal generation for device characterization and component testing across telecommunications applications. It accepts electrical NRZ signals at 9953.28 Mbit/s and 10709.225 Mbit/s, converting them to high-quality optical output via single-mode fiber.
## Technical Specifications
The module generates optical signals at selectable peak wavelengths: 1310 ±20 nm or 1550 ±20 nm. Spectral performance includes –20 dB width ≤0.5 nm, side mode suppression ratio ≥30 dB, and extinction ratio ≥10 dB. Electrical input impedance is 50 Ω via SMA connector. Optical output ranges from 0 to +3 dBm through a replaceable FC-PC connector on single-mode fiber.
Optional adjustable power control (Option 04) extends the dynamic range to 20 dB with ±0.5 dB accuracy from 0–10 dB and ±1.0 dB accuracy from 10.1–20 dB, at 0.1 dB resolution.
## Key Features
• Dual-wavelength capability: 1310 nm and 1550 nm options for standards-based testing
• Fixed or variable optical power output via Option 04
• Replaceable FC-PC connector for field maintenance
• NRZ signal formatting for standard optical communication protocols
• Class 1M laser safety (IEC 60825-1); Class IIIb (21CFR 1040.10)
## Typical Applications
Optical device characterization, component testing, telecommunications standards compliance verification, and optical communication system validation.
## Compatibility & Integration
Designed exclusively for Anritsu MP1590A and MP1590B network analyzers. Bit rate accuracy depends on host unit frequency reference and external input frequency. Direct module integration with no additional external hardware required.
