The Astronics/EADS/Racal 1260-138A is a high-density multiplexer plug-in module that delivers flexible signal routing and data acquisition for VXIbus and GPIB/Ethernet switching systems. This eight-channel 1×8 two-wire scanner supports independent channel control with simultaneous connection of multiple inputs to a common output, and configures as 1×16, 1×32, or 1×64 multiplexers. Up to six modules link under program control for expansion to 384 channels via the Analog Bus. Switching operates at 300 VDC or 300 VAC maximum, with path resistance under 500 mΩ and sub-3 ms switching time. Bandwidth exceeds 85 MHz in 1×8 configuration and maintains 4 MHz minimum in 1×64 mode, with low insertion loss across the audio and video frequency bands. The module integrates with Racal 1260-100/1260-101 VXI carriers and 1256/1256L switching systems, supporting LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI drivers.
