The BP Microsystems SM84UP is a manual PLCC socket module engineered to program and test Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier devices across a wide range of pin counts and package variants. This interchangeable template-based system supports PLCC devices from 20 to 84 pins, accommodating over 5,000 device types through individual insert plate configurations. The module interfaces directly with BP Microsystems programmers equipped with 48 to 240 pins, requiring a minimum driver count equal to the target device pin count.

Module plugs onto programmer with lid hinge toward rear; template edge marking pin count aligns with programmer front. Grasp module chassis on left and right sides during removal to avoid socket damage.
