The Corning SMF-28e Optical Fiber is an enhanced single-mode fiber supplied on a 40,000-meter (40 km) spool, engineered for high-performance metro and access network deployments. Compliant with ITU-T G.652.D and fully backward compatible with legacy single-mode infrastructure, this fiber delivers optimized network design flexibility and long-term performance reliability across the full spectrum from 1260 nm to 1625 nm. The enhanced performance in the water-peak region (1383 nm) enables increased wavelength transmission and overall network capacity.
