The Danaher / Dynapar / North Star SLIM Tach SL85 is a magnetoresistive encoder delivering zero-speed feedback and precise position sensing for AC vector motor applications. Its bearingless design and magnetoresistive sensing technology eliminate susceptibility to contaminants—grease, oil, salt water, dirt, fibers, and dust—removing the need for protective sealing. The encoder mounts directly onto 8.5″ (180 C) NEMA MG1 standard face motors with a slim 1.250″ profile, requiring only 1.0″ minimum shaft length.
