The Dicon PS-12-3-9-13/15-SC/UPC is a modular optical switch plug-in for integration into DiCon GP700M Mainframes. It houses three independent 1×2 switches, each capable of routing optical signals across two positions. Built on 9/125 µm single-mode fiber, this unit delivers reliable signal switching for telecommunications, data center, and high-bandwidth network applications where low insertion loss and high return loss rejection are critical.

The SC/UPC connector designation specifies SC connectors with Ultra Physical Contact polish. UPC polish provides superior surface finish and back-reflection performance (-55 dB typical) compared to legacy PC variants, ensuring signal integrity across high-speed transmission. SC connectors use a push-pull mechanism with a 2.5 mm ferrule that prevents rotation, maintaining consistent optical performance. Blue housing enables visual differentiation from APC connectors.
