The Elektrobit PropSim-C8 is a wideband multichannel simulator that emulates complex wireless propagation conditions for testing wireless devices and systems across 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. It delivers eight standard channels with optional MIMO extension capability, supporting up to 4×4 MIMO or 2×4 full-duplex MIMO configurations, plus independent fading channels for advanced multi-user scenarios.
– Technical Specifications
Channel Configuration: 8 channels standard; up to 16 independent fading channels with MIMO Extension Option. Supports 4×4 MIMO, 2×4 full-duplex MIMO, and multi-user MIMO via synchronized multiple units.
RF Performance: 70 MHz RF bandwidth with extension option beyond 100 MHz. Operating frequency range from 350 MHz to 6 GHz. Internal Local Oscillator included.
Channel Modeling: Arbitrary channel modeling with digital channel combining and splitting. Supports statistical and dynamic models, correlated multichannel simulation, and measured channel playback. Dynamic path delay options include constant, sinusoidal sliding delay, linear sliding delay (3GPP birth-death), and hopping types. MIMO modeling capabilities use complex correlation matrices, Direction of Arrival (DoA), or 802.11n antenna correlation matrix approaches. DoA channel modeling available for Antenna Array Systems. Channel models importable from external sources including MATLAB. Optional TGn Channel Modeling Tool generates 802.11n TGn standard-compliant models.
Simulation Interfaces: Three integrated interfaces—RF, Analog Baseband, and Digital Baseband.
Noise & Interference: Integrated noise source. Independent interference generator per channel supporting AWGN, CW, GMSK, 8-PSK, WCDMA DL, and WCDMA UL modulated interference signals.
