EtherCom Model EMB11 10/100 TX to 100 FX LK/ACT 10/100 Switch/Media Converter

The EtherCom Model EMB11 is a standalone network media converter that bridges copper Ethernet networks with fiber optic networks. It converts between 10/100Base-TX copper and 100Base-FX fiber interfaces, supporting auto-negotiation on the copper segment and user-selectable duplex modes on fiber. The unit extends network segment lengths, eliminates electromagnetic interference, and provides lightning strike protection. Built in a compact, rugged steel enclosure, it operates from 0°C to 55°C and draws 7.2 W maximum power. The converter employs store-and-forward switching with modified cut-through frame forwarding for low latency and achieves a forwarding rate of 148,800 pps. It is supplied with a wall-mount 12 VDC power adapter and includes LED indicators for power, speed, duplex, link/activity, and fault status.
