The EXFO IQS-2800 is a modular tunable light source built on an external cavity diode laser (ECDL) architecture, delivering narrow-linewidth output across C, L, and A bands. Designed for coherent transmission testing, WDM network emulation, and DWDM component characterization, it provides 10 pm tuning resolution, sub-100 kHz instantaneous linewidth, and ±0.1 dB power stability over 24 hours. Output power is available in Standard (13.5 dBm) or High (15.5 dBm) configurations, with <0.5 dB power flatness across the band. The module integrates into the IQS-636 platform, allowing up to nine units per chassis for multi-wavelength test setups. Frequency tuning supports 25 GHz ITU-grid spacing. Control is via USB or Ethernet, with PM FC/UPC or PM SC/UPC connectors. Operating range: 5 °C to 45 °C; storage to -40 °C to 70 °C. Laser safety compliance: CFR 1040.10 and IEC 60825-1:2007 Class 1M.
