The Fluke 7220A is a nine-digit universal frequency counter delivering high-precision measurements up to 1300 MHz across dual input channels. Channel A covers 10 Hz to 125 MHz at 1 MΩ impedance with switchable and continuously variable attenuation, while Channel B handles 100 MHz to 1300 MHz at 50 Ω impedance with sensitivity as low as 5 mV rms. The instrument supports burst mode triggering and features a fully EMI-shielded enclosure meeting MIL-STD-461 requirements for operation in demanding RF environments. Housed in Fluke’s lightweight Portable Test Instrument case with stack-and-latch design, the 7220A integrates into GPIB systems via optional IEEE-488 connectivity through the Fluke 1120A Translator. An optional 1000-times resolution multiplier maintains measurement speed while extending resolution capabilities.
