The HP 11664A is a wideband RF detector engineered for envelope detection within HP scalar network analyzer systems. Operating across 10 MHz to 18 GHz, it detects the envelope of a 27.8 kHz amplitude-modulated RF signal and delivers a 10 VDC output proportional to signal level. Maximum input power is +20 dBm (100 mW), with usable dynamic range from +10 dBm to -50 dBm. The detector features 50-ohm nominal input impedance with type N male connector (APC-7 and SMA jack options available). Frequency response variation remains below 0.5 dB from 10 MHz to 8 GHz, with <1.0 dB variation to 12 GHz and <1.5 dB to 18 GHz. Tracking between paired detectors is <0.5 dB (10 MHz–8 GHz), <1.0 dB (8–12 GHz), and <1.5 dB (12–18 GHz). Temperature stability is approximately ±0.4 dB across the operating range. VSWR performance ranges from 1.22 to 1.92 across the frequency band. Operating temperature: 0°C to 55°C. The detector arrives with a 1.2-meter cable and cable marker kit.
