The HP 3498A is an extender mainframe that expands data acquisition capability within HP 3497A systems. Functioning as a remote acquisition chassis, it accepts up to 10 plug-in assemblies and scales measurement density across analog and digital channels. Up to 13 units can be daisy-chained to a single 3497A controller, delivering maximum channel counts of 1000 analog and 1360 digital with support for 135 total plug-in assemblies across the entire configuration.
