The HP/Agilent 33120A is a 15 MHz function and arbitrary waveform generator engineered for signal simulation, electronic testing, and laboratory research. It generates standard waveforms—sine, square, triangle, and ramp—plus custom arbitrary waveforms with 12-bit vertical resolution and 8192-point memory depth at 20 MSa/s sampling rate. Modulation options include AM, FM, and FSK, with internal or external sources, while linear and logarithmic sweep modes support frequency-agile applications. Output ranges from 1 mVpp to 10 Vpp into 50 Ω with ±5 V DC offset capability. Front-panel operation uses direct numeric entry and rotary knob control; HP-IB (IEEE-488) remote interface enables system integration. The instrument delivers 1 µHz frequency resolution and ±50 ppm accuracy over one year, with amplitude accuracy of ±2% of setting. Dual 100-240 VAC operation at 50/60 Hz draws approximately 100 VA, making it suitable for bench-top and integrated test environments.
