The HP/Agilent 42842C Bias Current Test Fixture is a precision accessory that enables DC bias current injection during impedance measurements on components under real-world operational conditions. Designed for use with the HP/Agilent 42841A Bias Current Source and compatible LCR meters, it delivers stable, repeatable measurements critical for component characterization in R&D and quality assurance. The fixture accommodates standard devices smaller than 60(W) × 50(H) × 60(D) mm, with optional SMD support down to 1.6(L) × 0.8(W) mm. A clear plastic safety cover reduces back-e.m.f. voltage below 40 V within 0.1 second upon opening, while an integrated heat-sensitive switch prevents DUT thermal damage. DC bias voltage monitoring is provided throughout operation.
