The HP/Agilent 81625A is a high power InGaAs optical head designed for precise optical power measurement across the near-infrared spectrum. Built around a 5 mm diameter InGaAs detector element, it delivers accurate measurements from -80 dBm to +20 dBm and maintains ±2.5% accuracy across the 950 nm to 1630 nm band under reference conditions (23°C ±5°C). The sensor exhibits excellent optical characteristics with low PDL, minimal spectral ripple, and high return loss—making it ideal for component-level optical testing. It integrates with Agilent’s 8163, 8164, 8166 series mainframes and 8163B, 8164B, 8166B variants through either the 81618A (single) or 81619A (dual) interface modules.
