This instrument accommodates both legacy 8480 series and modern E-series power sensors, offering measurement speeds to 200 readings per second and absolute accuracy of ±0.02 dB (logarithmic) or ±0.5% (linear). The EPM-442A integrates into benchtop setups and automated test equipment systems, featuring a high-resolution LCD display with LED backlighting, split-screen capability, and analog peaking meter for precise tuning. SCPI programmability enables remote control via configurable HP-IB addressing, while ten saved instrument configurations streamline repetitive test sequences.
