The JDS Uniphase BNS1415 is a broadband erbium-doped fiber amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) source that delivers stable, high-power optical noise across the C-band and extended wavelength ranges. It generates unpolarized ASE through optical pumping of erbium-doped fiber, making it ideal for spectral characterization, system compliance testing, noise loading experiments, and polarization mode dispersion measurements.
