Using Profile Alignment System (PAS) core alignment, it accommodates Single Mode, Multimode, Dispersion Shifted, and Erbium-Doped fibers with typical splice losses of 0.03 dB (SM), 0.02 dB (MM), and 0.05 dB (DS). The unit achieves average tensile strength of 300 kpsi with appropriate high-strength accessories and completes SM fiber splices in approximately 20 seconds.
