Its FET amplifier architecture provides 1 MΩ input resistance and 1.6 pF typical input capacitance, minimizing circuit loading during measurement. The 10:1 attenuation ratio (±3% accuracy, ±0.5% when terminated to 50 Ω) enables precise signal conditioning across a 0 to ±6.0 V dynamic range. The probe tip remains small and lightweight while active circuitry resides in a pod positioned 13 inches from the contact point, allowing access to densely populated board layouts.
