Equipment info

The Keysight (Agilent) 1155A is a 2-channel active oscilloscope probe designed for high-fidelity signal acquisition on fine-pitch integrated circuits and surface-mount components. Its ultra-low probe tip mass—less than 1 gram—minimizes loading effects on sensitive circuits, while FET amplification delivers 750 MHz bandwidth with minimal insertion loss. The 10:1 attenuation ratio, combined with 1 MΩ input resistance and <2 pF input capacitance, ensures exceptional circuit transparency across a wide frequency spectrum. Rise time is ≤470 ps (probe alone), with bandwidth degradation of approximately 0.5% per °C above 35 °C.

Autoprobe interface integration enables automatic oscilloscope configuration, eliminating manual probe setup. The probe operates reliably from 0 °C to +55 °C and withstands up to 95% relative humidity (noncondensing) at +40 °C. Environmental robustness includes operating altitude to 4,600 m and vibration immunity rated at 0.3 grms across 5–500 Hz.

– Technical Specifications

• Bandwidth: 750 MHz
• Attenuation Ratio: 10:1
• Rise Time: ≤470 ps (probe alone)
• Input Resistance: 1 MΩ
• Input Capacitance: <2 pF
• Probe Tip Weight: <1 gram
• Net Weight: ~0.23 kg
• Operating Temperature: 0 °C to +55 °C
• Operating Humidity: Up to 95% RH (noncondensing) at +40 °C
• Operating Altitude: Up to 4,600 m
• Operating Vibration: 0.3 grms, 5–500 Hz

– Key Features

• Ultra-low-mass probe tip reduces circuit loading and parasitic effects
• FET amplifier delivers high input impedance and minimal capacitive loading
• Autoprobe interface for automatic configuration on compatible oscilloscopes
• Supplied with probe tip, cable, SMT leads (4 red, 4 black), and Wedge Probe Adapter

– Typical Applications

• High-frequency digital and analog circuit characterization
• Fine-pitch IC and surface-mount component probing
• Minimally invasive signal acquisition in noise-sensitive environments

– Compatibility & Integration

The 1155A operates with Keysight Infiniium oscilloscopes from the 54800, 8000, 80000, 9000, and 90000 Series. It is not compatible with InfiniiVision 5000, 6000, or 7000 Series; the 1145A active probe with BNC interface and 1142A power supply are recommended alternatives for those platforms.
