Keysight (Agilent) 1163A

The Keysight (Agilent) 1163A is a miniature passive probe engineered for precision signal acquisition on Keysight Infiniium oscilloscopes. This 10:1 resistive divider probe delivers 1.5 GHz system bandwidth and features a 500 Ohm input impedance with 1.5 pF input capacitance, making it ideal for probing dense circuit boards and intricate PCB conductors. The AutoProbe interface automatically configures compatible oscilloscopes for the probe’s parameters, eliminating manual setup and ensuring measurement accuracy.

A retractable hook tip with replaceable music wire construction provides sharp, precise contact on miniature test points. The removable handle leaves a compact probe body for access to crowded layouts. Kevlar-reinforced cabling delivers enhanced pull strength rated to 12 lb static pull at the BNC-to-tip connection. The 1163A ships with a complete grounding accessory kit: an Agilent Browser with crown point solder grip, alligator lead, spring grounds for high-frequency work, socketed ground lead, and IC clips for surface mount devices.

– Compatibility & Integration

The 1163A is compatible with all Keysight Infiniium oscilloscopes (54800, 8000, 80000, and 90000 Series) and fully supports the AutoProbe interface. An E2697A 1 MΩ input adapter is required for use with 50 Ω oscilloscope inputs. The probe is not compatible with Aux Trig In or Aux Out connectors; standard BNC cables must be used for these connections.

Discontinuation Notice: The 1163A was discontinued December 1, 2010. The N2874A passive probe is the recommended replacement.
